Malaika Vaz

Malaika Vaz is a filmmaker, TV presenter, National Geographic Explorer, and CEO of Untamed Planet, a production company behind award-winning films and series for the BBC, National Geographic, Al Jazeera, Sky, PBS and more. Her recent work as a film director, host and investigative journalist explores climate change, labor and migration, illegal wildlife trade, endangered species conservation, and the impact of extractive industry across the world. As an environmental advocate, Malaika often speaks at leading global summits, including COP28, the Aspen Ideas Festival, the Economist conclave, Bloomberg Green, and United Nations events. She recently won the Best On-Screen Talent award at Wildscreen and was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for North America.
