Jason Baldes

Jason Baldes is a member of the Eastern Shoshone Tribe from the Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in land resources & environmental sciences from Montana State University where he focused his efforts to restore bison/buffalo to Tribal lands. Baldes is the senior buffalo program manager for the National Wildlife Federation and founder/executive director of the Wind River Tribal Buffalo Initiative. He serves as vice president on the board of the InterTribal Buffalo Council and board of trustees of the Conservation Lands Foundation. Jason is adjunct faculty at the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources at the University of Wyoming.
